For hearing loss please avoid 24 hours prior to the exam: noise exposure and alcohol; 48 hours prior to the exam: antihistamines, tranquilizers, and sedatives. Essential medications, such as blood pressure or heart medication may be taken. Bring any current hearing protection or hearing aids. For Laryngeal do not eat any solid foods before the exam; you should only have a liquid breakfast and lunch.
